Contemporary fashion was the highlight of Day Two. Photographs by Hitesh Harisinghani/Rediff.com.

Three designers -- Kanika Goyal, Kriti Tula and Sonal Verma -- showcased their winter collection at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016.

Take a look at these creations and tell us what you think.

Kriti Tula

IMAGE: Kriti's collection was titled 'Hopscotch' and was clearly inspired from her childhood memories of the popular game.

IMAGE: Tula played with checks and colour blocked lean midis.

IMAGE: Sanea Shaikh models pleated pants with patchwork.

IMAGE: A dash of colour to break the monotony of asymmetrical stripes.

IMAGE: Comfortable is the new cool.

IMAGE: While Kriti's idea of upscaling fabrics gets a huge thumbs up; question is, will you dare to wear them outside the ramp?

Kanika Goyal

IMAGE: Canadian architect Frank Gehry was the inspiration behind Kanika's creations.

IMAGE: Much like Gehry, Goyal's designs too were contemporary and coming of age.

IMAGE: A dash of shimmer on your top with knee length coats is a good idea.

IMAGE: Women love velvet and Kanika knows it well.

IMAGE: Some wool to keep you warm for the winter. The length and fit of the jacket should be just perfect.

IMAGE: Kanika takes in the applause at the end of the show.

Sonal Verma

IMAGE: Titled 'The Dark Matter' Sonal Verma's collection was dramatic.

IMAGE: Krithika Babu models a layered creation with knitted accents.

IMAGE: Wool, leather, cotton -- Verma blended them all.

IMAGE: Work wardrobe inspiration, anyone?

IMAGE: Who said monotones are boring?

IMAGE: Sonal Verma is proud of her work.
