Maharashtra class 12 result likely to be announced May 25

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will announce the results on their website at 1 pm.

The countdown has begun for students who appeared for Maharashtra 12th board examinations and are waiting to check their results.

Candidates can expect the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) to declare the HSC result anytime on or after May 25.

Students should note that only the provisional marksheet will be available online.

The original marksheet of Class 12 result have to be collected from students' respective schools later.

Maharashtra Board HSC exams were conducted from February 21 to March 20, 2018.

A total of 14,27,439 students registered for the exams this year.

Of these, 5,80,820 students registered for Science, 4,79,863 for Arts, 3,66,756 students for Commerce, and 57,693 students for vocational stream.

How to check your Maharashtra HSC Result

Students can follow the steps below to download their result:

  • Visit the official website
  • Select your stream -- Science, Commerce or Arts
  • Enter your Roll Number as given in the Admit Card
  • Click 'Submit'
  • The provisional result will be displayed on the screen
  • Download and take printout of the result

What does your Class 12 result mention?

  • Stream
  • Seat No.
  • Centre No.
  • District and Higher Secondary School No.
  • Month and Year of Exam
  • Sr. No. and Statement
  • Candidate’s name
  • Candidate's Mother's Name
  • Result -- Pass/Fail
  • Percentage
  • Total marks

Passing and grading criteria

  • In order to clear the exam, students need to obtain a minimum of 20 per cent marks in written or theoretical exam and an aggregate of 35 per cent in theory and practical combined.
  • Students with 75 per cent and above will be awarded Grade I along with distinction.
  • Students scoring between 60 to 75 per cent marks will be awarded Grade I.
  • Those securing between 45 per cent to 60 per cent will be given grade II.

What if you're unable to access your result?

Don’t panic! The result page might take time to open due to heavy traffic.

Retry within a few minutes.

Also make sure that you enter the correct roll number.

It is advisable to keep a copy of your admit card so you don’t make any mistake. 

When will mark sheet be released?

While the provisional mark sheet will be released along with the result, the final mark sheet will be issued by the Board within a month from the result declaration.

The provisional mark sheet will mention the candidate’s name, roll number, subject-wise marks, total marks, division and qualifying status (pass/fail).

Candidates will have to collect the same from their respective schools.
