It's the season of harvest and people across India are preparing to celebrate the harvest festival.

In Maharashtra and Gujarat, Makar Sankranti, also known as the kite festival will be celebrated on January 14.

In Tamil Nadu, Punjab and other parts of India Thai Pongal, Lohri, Bihu, Hadaga and Poki falls on January 15.
