On October 20, 2019, we visited the Hanseshwari (or Hangseshwari) Temple of Goddess Hanseshwari in the town of Bansberia in Hooghly district. Bansberia is approximately 60 km away from Kolkata.

The short trip turned out to be quite exciting.

The temple, built some time in the beginning of the 19th century is an important part of history and built during Raja Nrisingha Deb Roy Mahasay's rule.

The structure of the temple demonstrates a wonderful sense of architecture and design.
