Parvinder Chawla has rheumatoid arthritis and cannot travel without a wheelchair.

When we first saw Parvinder wheeling herself out of the first show at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai on a motorised chair, we couldn't resist ourselves from speaking to her and find out more.

"My wheelchair is my life partner," said Parvinder all fired up.

The 49 year old with a doughty spirit and passion for travel has travelled solo to 58 countries across six continents.

Parvinder was attending Lakme Fashion Week to cheer her niece Tanisha Singh who showcased her design as the part of GenNext show.

Ask her about the challenges she faced while travelling solo and and she dishes out a gem: "What challenges? Everyday I meet an angel who makes me realise how beautiful this world is."

See this video where Parvinder speaks about her challenges, her passion for travel, and best places to visit in India and the world.

"India is so beautiful," she says as she compares one of India's Himalayan mountains with the Swiss Alps.
