Monisha Jaising has been designing couture wear since 1989.

In a career spanning over three decades, the designer has worked with celebrities, models, and created stunning outfits for brides both in India and abroad.

In an exclusive interaction with Rediff.com, Monisha revealed how the pandemic has changed the way brides dress up at weddings.

Sharing her advice to brides-to-be, Monisha said: "Use your personal time to think what YOU would like as a bride."

"Always trust your opinion. Cut down your entourage. Focus on what you want."

According to Monisha, you must choose the right fabric based on the season and occasion and keep the outfit functional.

"Whatever garment you pick it should be comfortable and functional. It should have a pocket so you can carry your mask and a sanitiser."
