Latest fashion week: From hot minis to sensual saris

On December 4, we carried glimpses of the first day of the Oxybleach India International Fashion Week 2009. The event, organised in Delhi from December 3 to 5, showcased a wide range of creations by a host of international designers. Here's a look at what was on offer on days Two and Three.

Pakistani designer Monica Paracha drew influences from both the Mughal and Victorian eras to create a collection of resplendent colour and opulence titled Victoria Royale. She also displayed a fur line called Furocity and handbag collection Leather-IOUS.

Seen here is a chic cocktail sari in fading pinks and purples, topped up with a delicate silver motif.

Strapless splendour

Seen here is another of Paracha's works, a gorgeous bridal peach and red affair with rich floral embroidery.

Pretty in pink

Next we have Mustafa Hassan Ali from Tanzania, who showcased both resort and eveningwear. Seen here is a pretty pink number set off by a sash and matching accessories.

To the tune of the toga

Another of his creations shows off a distinctly toga feel, with soft pastel drapes hanging loosely on a slightly more ornate neckline.

Romanian musings

Day Two also saw a show by Romanian couturier Catalin Botezatu. His outfits were dramatic, with a touch of bling and plenty of flair, like this wispy winged evening gown.

Heavy impression

Botezatu showed a preference for blue; seen here is another red carpet special, set off by a quirky headpiece and over-the-top makeup.

Armoured elegance

Israeli designer Chen Cohen opened the final day of the Oxybleach India International Fashion Week with a unique, varied collection. Seen here is a metallic feathered mini in heavy-duty gold.

Texture it up

Cohen then moves to matte with a heavily textured plunging outfit, teamed with a bulky cutwork jacket.

Ethereal empress

Norwegian Rudy Wolff also showed versatility with her ensembles. An indigo-blue kaftan dress makes its presence felt on the runway.

Short 'n' sweet

Here she goes the sexy route, with a delicate mauve and white babydoll lined with tulle.

Dancin' dresses

Bringing the final day to a close was American Andres Aquino, who used exclusive French, Japanese and Indian lace to create a combined theme of both dance and fashion. Can you see yourself do the salsa in this hot yellow number?

Senorita style

And here is a sensual senorita in Spanish stylings, ready to do the flamenco in her lovely dress, complete with rambling flowers in her hair and a fan.
