It's that time of the year again and house parties are as popular than ever. So if you want to take charge of the bar and toss up martinis that James Bond would kill for, we have just the thing for you.

Here, Nevil Timbadia, partner of resto-bar Bonobo in Mumbai shows you how to make two kinds of martinis.

Pomegranate-and-mint Martini

You may not care for it as a fruit, but Pomegranate sure does make for one heck of a martini!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 or 1/3 pomegranate (depending on the size)
  • 30 ml vodka
  • 15 ml sugar syrup (or 1tsp sugar)
  • 15 ml limejuice
  • Lots of ice
  • Some mint leaves

Method of preparation:

  • Squeeze the pomegranate into a martini shaker
  • Add sugar syrup, vodka and limejuice to it.
  • Fill the shaker half way with ice.
  • Shake it well.
  • Strain and pour it in a glass and add a few mint leaves on top.

  • 45 ml (or 1 large shot) vanilla vodka (or a few drops of vanilla essence mixed with plain vodka)

  • Fill the martini shaker half way with ice.
  • Shake it well.
  • Strain and pour it in a glass. Add a pinch of coffee powder.
