We look to them for fashion tips and inspiration, but even the divas have their off days! Here's a list of the worst celeb hairdos we've seen in recent times.

All ears

While we're all for the Material Girl's chameleon personality, we just can't find anything good to say about this bunny avtaar Madonna sported at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York last week. Haute couture or Roger Rabbit's dream date? You decide.

Why does Russel Brand look so startled? Perhaps he just peeked into a mirror.

The comedian-cum-TV presenter topped a list of worst celeb hairdos in a survey by hair specialists Optima last week. Hands down, that back-combed horror could scare the life out of anyone.

British crooner Amy Winehouse's trademark beehive do makes it to the news almost as much as her eccentric antics do. And no amount of flak she gets for it will convince her to go in for a makeover.

Oh, well. Sooner or later the bird nesting in there will just have to flutter out from underneath!

Will somebody please tell actor Zac Efron that what might look good on Victoria Beckham certainly doesn't on him? And that he isn't in a High School Musical at the moment, even if a fourth installment is due sometime soon?

She may be royalty, but fashion isn't her forte.

After all the flak Camilla-Parker Bowles has taken for her dowdy outfits, we think that hairdo deserves its fair share of criticism too. This floppy look belongs more on the pooch than it does on the lady.

While Cristiano Ronaldo is one handsome hunk, we do have a bone to pick with him. When you have sensual black curls that the ladies go wild over, don't try to coax them into a mohawk -- it'll make them squawk!

What's up with actress Mary-Kate Olsen? Is it just us, or is the one-upon-a-time-cutie losing her hair along with her looks?

That thinning mop does nothing for her wane appearance -- not even the shaggy cut can salvage them.

And finally, we have mega-tycoon Donald Trump, who keeps us guessing as to whether that's a bad toup e, a bad colouring job or a little bit of both! Looks like the job of an Apprentice, what say?
