Catwalk action from Pakistan Fashion Week

Here's a glimpse of what was on offer at the recently concluded Pakistan Fashion Week, held at Karachi's luxury Marriott hotel from November 4-7 this year.

The event openly defied the Taliban's strict adherance to veils and had to be rescheduled twice in the past month due to security issues. But ultimately more than 30 Pakistani designers participated and everything ran smoothly, so here's a look at the on-ramp action.

First up is model Rubya in this gorgeous strapless evening gown, designed by the Asian Institute of Fashion Design.
