Supermodel Ujjwala Raut's sister lets us in on what turns her on and just what she did in the sex capital of the world.
How did you get into modelling?
Atul Kasbekar spotted me at a party in 2007. We were introduced but I hardly interacted with him that evening. The very next day I received a call from his office. Before I began modelling, I was studying Commerce in Mumbai's Mithibai College.
Your beauty secrets...
I drink lots of water, eat healthy and exercise. I love sea food and eat lots of boiled vegetables. I avoid carbs and my diet has a lot of proteins. I work out almost every day. But most of all I think I have to thank my mother for my genes!
Your most embarrassing at-work moment...
Never had one so far. Touch wood.
Having a supermodel for a sister can be...
Very inspiriting and yet very challenging. While there are times when the comparison gets too much to handle, I understand that being Ujjwala's sister has given me an advantage over a lot of other aspiring models. Ujjwala is a fighter and knows what she wants. She has a family and is still working! That is saying something.
Your favourite cuisine...
My mother makes some awesome fish curry. I enjoy having that with rice. Besides love dal khichdi too!
Your favourite drink...
Mojito
You love hanging out at...
The Marriott because it is cosy and everyone from Bollywood hangs out there. It's a good place to socialise and network.
Music you enjoy...
R&B, Hip-Hop (Usher is my favourite artiste) and Bollywood (love some of the tracks from Jail and Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani)
Best movie of all time...
Sholay! All the characters in the film are immortal -- Gabbar Singh, Basanti...even Dhanno, the horse!
Your favourite book...
Stranger in a Mirror by Sidney Sheldon because it has thriller suspense and sex -- everything a 21-year-old might want.
Your preferred travel destination...
Netherlands! I was in Amsterdam for a week and I enjoyed myself thoroughly.
Makeup you can't live without...
Lip gloss.
Your biggest indulgence...
Aloo Chaat, pani puri and vada pav.
Your biggest challenge...
...is yet to come
The defining moment when you realised you were famous...
It will be real soon.
Sex symbol or supermodel?
Supermodel.
How did you get the Kingfisher Calendar offer?
Atul (Kasbekar) offered me the 2010 edition of the calendar. I had to go through a smallish audition but that was pretty much it.
Your idea of a perfect day...
Waking up late, watching movies, catching up with friends.
Your passion...
Acting. I have done a workshop with Juhi Babbar. I also enjoy dancing and have done a course with Shaimak and Habiba Rehman.
Turn-offs in a man...
Men who chew loudly while eating... and I know a lot of them!
Turn-ons...
He needs to smell good and have a great sense of humour.
And what perfume should he be wearing?
BLV!
If you weren't a model, you would be...
A dancer.
If you were asked to bare for a shoot, would you?
If required, yes. It also depends on how comfortable I am made to feel during the shoot. The Kingfisher Calendar for instance, was a breeze.
You can't leave home without...
My cell phone and iPod.
How do you spend your spare time?
I swim, meet my friends to hang out and catch up on plenty of movies.
Future plans?
Acting in Bollywood of course!
