The ongoing Bandra Festival truly embodies the spirit of the Mumbai suburb itself, and the people it pulls together: spontaneous, exuberant, passionate, creative.
No more perfectly was this on display than on the evening of November 23, with three concerts occuring simultaneously: at Bandra Reclamation, Bandra Bandstand, and Carter Road. And while professional bands like Prayag and Swarathama brought down the house at the Reclamation with their polished instrumentation and meaningful vocals, it was amateurs, both young and old, who had the crowds rocking, rolling and singing along at the other two venues. In this next performance, a father and son duo combine to sing the glory of Spain (with a few ad-libbed lines about Bandra, of course!).
Finally, just what the doctor ordered. This Bandra auntie reminds us that we must always, always smile!
