Watch out Donna, Karan is on his way!

Just in case you thought Salman Khan had managed to pull a coup of sorts, Karan Johar showed just who calls the shots in Bollywood. The director-turned-designer had some of the biggest names in the industry cheering for him on the last day of the HDIL India Couture Week. Heck he even got Shah Rukh Khan to walk the ramp and Jaya Bachchan to applaud him!

The show saw some interesting bags, jackets, sherwanis and trunks being showcased on the runway.

The hot new stars of this generation -- Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor -- opened the show to much applause.

That's the way to wear brown, Charlie

Jacket, check. Trousers, check. Belt, check. And off we go!

Inside out

If you forget the jacket, the shirt is actually a great piece for office wear. The trousers may be tad OTT to wear to work. But definitely the kind you would want to be seen in while letting your hair down.

Inside the trenches

Keanu Reeves notwithstanding the trench coat made saving the world look good in The Matrix. Wonder if the trend will ever catch on here in India?

Tie and die

Sure we know what you're thinking! We'd advise caution if you're wearing your belt this way.

Such a suit

Interesting jacket and though the gamcha can be such a yawn, this one sure makes the cut.

Check it out

This one's a classic bandhgala though with an interesting U-shape design around the buttons and large checks that might remind you of your arithmetic class in school. But heck we love this thing.

Keeping it short

Dino Morea sure made a lot of women weak in their knees. We even lip read someone prominent saying how delicious he looked!

Bag it

Shorts and bag two thumbs up. Jacket... umm... ho hum.

That's the way it's worn

KJo's trademark U-design makes a comeback and the tight pyajamas make way for loose formal trousers.

Standing out

Much married and a yummy mummy, Gauri Khan seemed in a mood to give Malaika Arora Khan a run for her title. Malaika, sitting in the first row, cheered.

The king cometh

Shah Rukh Khan sure showed who ruled the ramp on the last day of the Couture Week as he show stopped for KJo.

Ushering in a new generation
