Model Sahil Shroff is the man of the moment. Currently on the brink of making the big move from the ramp to the silver screen, this Mumbai-based hunk is a fixture at fashion weeks. Here, in a tete-a-tete with rediff.com, he gets candid about his career, personal life and a few of his favourite things.

How I got into modelling: It wasn't something I got into consciously. I have always been a sportsperson and used to model during my college days in Mumbai. I had to leave college and travel to Australia (where I grew up) to be with my family. When I returned I began getting offers, one thing led to another and before I knew it I was a model!

The golden rules of the business: Be true to yourself and never try too hard.

My fitness secrets: What works for someone else may not work you.

Personal sense of style: European, wearable and stylish.

Serious actor, sex symbol or model: Serious actor, definitely.

My perfect day: That would be starting with a good breakfast, being airlifted to work (so I avoid the Mumbai traffic), four hours of work, followed by a dinner with the family and a night out with friends and the ladies!

My passion: Acting. I am looking at making my debut in films.

If I wasn't a model: I'd probably be a marketing executive.

Today's hottest actors and actresses, according to me: Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra -- both are superb performers.

Two male and female actors who have hot bodies: Among the men it has to be Dino Morea and Hrithik Roshan. I also like Kareena Kapoor after she's gained weight and of course, Priyanka Chopra.

'I like hanging out at home'

Quick facts about me:

My favourite food: Any, and I mean any mutton dish!

My favourite drink: Whiskey, on the rocks

I love hanging out at: My house, because it's peaceful, has everything I want and anyone can come over whenever they want to.

Music I enjoy: I enjoy house music, essentially.

'My greatest challenge in life is to get married and settle down'

Best movies of all time: Jerry Maguire, Godfather and Scarface

Books I love: I can't think of a particular title. But I do read a lot of books on spirituality and Buddhism.

Most recent indulgence: I discovered these amazing mithais this Diwali and freaked out on them. They are low on sugar but high on dry fruits and completely natural.

Greatest challenge in life: Getting married and settling down.

What turns me on in a woman: Definitely a beautiful face is a turn-on. But it's the neck that drives me wild!

'I can't stand to be nagged'

What turns me off in a woman: Nagging! Thankfully, my girlfriend is not the nagging type. What do I do when I get nagged? Well, I simply... turn off!

I can't leave home without: My wallet. It has everything I need to get away and be by myself if I want to.

In my spare time, I: Practice Taekwondo. I am also learning to play the guitar, and watch a lot of movies.

My future plans: I hope to get into films and am working towards it these days.
