Flowers and fantasy came together on Day One of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week thanks to designers Ashima and Leena. Fluid chiffons and kaftan-style garments sailed out in a riot of colour on the runway and there were two mega showstoppers. Check it out.

Green and blue swirled and twirled as one of the first outfits on the runway made a mark, set off by heeled gladiators.

Fun 'n' flirty

Go fun 'n' flirty in this bell-sleeved mini, complete with flowers in your hair.

Sweeping the floor

Model Jesse Randhawa struts out in a floating earthy maxi-style kaftan, with intricate embroidery at the neckline.

Sea of poppies

Up next is Marianna Dias, in a red sea of printed poppies.

Poncho pret

Go the poncho route in this comfy one-sided piece, worn over harem pants.

Peach passion

The designer duo sends out another mini, this time in peach with green leaves dotting the fabric.

Timeless classic

Indrani Dasgupta looks all set for the red carpet in this empire-waisted gown.

Sporty showstopper

Ex cricket skipper Kapil Dev is all smiles and right at home on the ramp in an olive kurta.

With Showstopper Number Two

Ashima and Leena step out alongside actor-turned-MP Jaya Prada, their second showstopper and probably the first Indian politician to ever walk the ramp!
