Bridal ensembles, multiple hues, glimmer and shimmer were all part of Jaya Rathore's bridal collection, showcased on the final day of the WLIFW.
Inspired by the novel Rumi's Daughter and the inlaid tiles of the Taj Mahal that twinkles in a myriad of kaleidoscopic colours under light, the designer opted for intricate embroidery using a technique that prevents the garments from getting too heavy, particularly the lehengas. And showstopping for Rathore was Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar. Take a look.
We start off with this lovely churidaar kurta with relaxed fit and delicate hints of shine.
Subtle and silvery
Not a fan of loud tones? This wispy silver-grey tissue sari should be right up your alley.
A fine balance
Note how the pale background of Binal Trivedi's outfit balances the bright detailing perfectly.
Olive undertone
For those with deeper, darker taste, the designer puts out another understated but elegant sari.
Mermaid muse
Noyonika Chatterjee gives a coy smile in this gorgeous lehenga with mermaid cut and fuschia touches.
Opulent detailing
Sailing out next we have Carol Gracias in this wonderful outfit, parts of it opaque with threadwork and shine, parts of it sheer to reveal your sensual side.
