Snapshots: Discovering India's beauty

We invited readers to send in their favourite travel pic -- that one photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place they visited. And we have been inundated with stunning pics of every corner of India.

First is Jayesh Vani's photograph taken from Shivneri Fort, Maharashtra.

"This photo was taken from Shivneri Fort (Chattrapati Shivaji's birthplace)," shares Jayesh. "It was middle of September, when the monsoon recedes. This photo captures the many hamlets and villages which lie in the valley between Shivneri Fort and the surrounding Western Ghats."
