We invited readers to send in their favourite travel pic -- that one photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place they visited. And we have been inundated with stunning pics of every corner of India.
First is Jayesh Vani's photograph taken from Shivneri Fort, Maharashtra.
"This photo was taken from Shivneri Fort (Chattrapati Shivaji's birthplace)," shares Jayesh. "It was middle of September, when the monsoon recedes. This photo captures the many hamlets and villages which lie in the valley between Shivneri Fort and the surrounding Western Ghats."

The photo has been shot from Pelling, a small sleepy town around 5 hours drive from Gangtok, Sikkim," shares Rajneesh Anand.
"It was shot at 5 am and shows the first rays falling on the high Himalayan peaks."
Rajesh Kakkar sends in this pic of the sarovar (lake) at Hemkund Saheb in Uttarakhand at a height of 15,000 feet.
"The journey and the sheer beauty of the place makes it heaven on earth. Combine it with the spiritual element and it is a really moving experience," he says.
Dinanath Dandavate sends in this photo of the flamingoes that visit Diksal, Bhighvan (95 km far from Pune).
"A good time to visit is October-March, where you can see as many as 15 different types of birds."
