We invited readers to send in their favourite travel pic -- that one photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place they visited. And we have been inundated with stunning pics of every corner of India.

Here we feature photographs readers sent in of some of India's serene seashores.

First up is Naveena Kedlaya's photograph of the sunset at Malpe beach, Udupi district, Karnataka.

"Udupi is my native place and I often visit Malpe to witness the sunset. This photo was taken in December 2009," she says. "Whenever I see this photo, I feel like I'm home!"

Do you have a photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place -- of a breathtaking peak or a picture-perfect seashore? Share it with the world. Simply send in your photograph (original photos only) to travelpicsga@rediffmail.com (subject line: 'My travel pic'), along with your name, the name of the place, a short description of the photograph, when you visited and what you liked most about the place.
