We invited readers to send in their favourite travel pic -- that one photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place they visited. And we have been inundated with stunning pics of every corner of India.

Here we feature photographs readers sent in of some of India's serene seashores.

First up is Naveena Kedlaya's photograph of the sunset at Malpe beach, Udupi district, Karnataka.

"Udupi is my native place and I often visit Malpe to witness the sunset. This photo was taken in December 2009," she says. "Whenever I see this photo, I feel like I'm home!"

Arnab Sinha sends in two photos taken of the glorious beaches of Goa.

The first is of Vagator.

The second is a photo of the Chapora beach.

If it's beaches you're after, Goa is the place to be.

Here Ajeet Jain shares photographs of some of his favourite Goan beaches. First up is this pic of Anjuna beach.

Ajeet shares an aerial view of the Arambol shoreline.

Next up is R Vivekanandan's photo taken along East Coast Road, Chennai.

"I took this picture one early morning with the sun playing hide and seek," he shares.

The photograph is of a sunset at Gorai, near Mumbai," says Amlendu Bipul Mishra of this pic.

Next Chetan Deshpande shares this pic taken during his tour to Nellore.

Our final photograph is one sent in by Rishi Bhandoo, of the secluded beach of Vengurla.

"The unspoiled beach and no commercialisation makes it a perfect venue for a break from the crowds of the city," he says.
