Meet the Miss India 2010 contestants!
Eighteen Indian lovelies have been chosen to compete for the Miss India crown on April 30. Here's a look at each of the finalists -- take the poll at the bottom of each page to let us know whether you think they're up to the challenge or not!
Aeshra Patel
This 21-year-old from Vadodara completed a vocational acting course from the Lee Strasberg Acting and Film Institute in the US. She likes watching English movies, travelling and shopping in her spare time and is also a student of the classical dance form of Kathak.
Motto: I want to win the pageant and use this platform to help the needy and underprivileged people and also to make my parents proud.

Alisha Pekha
Alisha, 23, is from Delhi. She studied at the Indian Institute of Planning and Management and is pursuing a career in modelling. She loves to travel and explore new places.
Motto: To be independent, successful and content in life and also be the best in whatever I do.

Anjali Raut
A Mumbai girl, Anjali is 23 and already a professional ramp model. She studied at Mithibai College and her hobbies include reading books on the occult, dancing and playing badminton.
Motto: To make a mark in enviable position in my chosen field and to work towards social causes as well.

Anshu Malik
Also based in Mumbai, 22-year-old Anshu was born in Dehradun. She's a practicing cosmetologist and dietician and loves painting, reading inspirational and spiritual books. She's also a self-described fitness freak.
Motto: I believe that ability is what gives you the opportunity and belief is what gets you there, but it's important to have the right attitude as that determines your success or failure.

Ashima Jain
Statuesque Ashima is 24 years old and a model. She is from Mumbai and pursues various interests like Indian classical dance forms, singing, cooking and playing with her pet dogs.
Motto: After the consistent hard work, all you need to do is keep the faith.

Dimple Patel
And chalk up another one from Mumbai! This twenty three-year-old doe-eyed model looking to win the crown based on her self-confidence. Her hobbies include acting and listening to music.
Motto: To be positive. Having self belief is the most important thing in life, which leads to only one road called 'success'.

Gurpreet Bedi
Gurpreet, 23, is from Gurgaon and studied at the University of Bedfordshire in the UK. Besides modelling, she is also pursuing a career as a graphic designer. She enjoys creative hobbies, is able to relax by shopping and says that downloading music 'keeps her going'.
Motto: Life is all about creating memories, opportunities, impressions, a name, a mark! The more positive you are, the more creative you shall be.

Jinal Pandya
Vadodara-based Jinal is only 19 years old, one of the youngest Miss India contestants. She is currently pursuing acting and modelling and enjoys leisure activities like drawing and listening to music.
Motto: My motto is to be successful in life. Also to get involved in charitable work for humanity all throughout my life.

Krithika Babu
Bangalore beauty Krithika is 20 years old and currently pursuing her education at Mount Carmel College. Her hobbies include dancing, yoga and athletics.
Motto: One of my mottos in life is to reach out and make a positive difference in everyone's lives I touch.

Malvika Raaj
Malvika, 19, is from Mumbai and currently a student with Mumbai University, but she is also into modelling. A self-confessed 'sports girl', she's been into sports activities like football, basketball and throwball since her school years. She is also a student of classical, contemporary ballet and Indian dance.
Motto: To endeavour and succeed in whatever I am doing. Also to be modest about my achievements and above all, be a good human being.

Manasvi Mamgai
Born in Delhi and based in Mumbai, Manasvi is a 22-year-old model. Besides dancing, acting and travelling in her spare time, this bold babe is also into adventure sports.
Motto: 'Carpe Diem'! Life is short, live the moment giving it your 100 percent.
Height: 5'10"

Neha Hinge
Pretty Neha is from Dewas in Madhya Pradesh. At 23, she's a software engineer and also takes on modelling assignments. She is also into poetry, trekking, painting and dancing.
Motto: Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Nicole Alvares
This Mumbai gal is 23 years old and a Latin American dance performer, choreographer and instructor. When she's not sizzling on the dance floor, Nicole enjoys collecting quotes, visiting handicraft exhibitions and other creative hobbies.
Motto: Always remember to become the change that you want to see. Remember to be the difference you want to make.

Nicole Faria
She may have been born and brought up in Bangalore, but 20-year-old Nicole is already creating a buzz in the Mumbai fashion circles, having catwalked at two fashion weeks. Belly-dancing is her chief hobby and also helps her keep fit.
Motto: To be the best I can be and to help those in need to the best of my abilities. I believe life short and we should not even lose a moment of it.

Pearl Verma
Nineteen-year-old Pearl is based in Mumbai and is a commercial pilot by profession. When she's not flying high, she indulges in dancing, listening to music, outdoor sports and travelling.

Rohini Mukherji
At 18, Rohini is younger than most of the other Miss India finalists. She is based in Kolkata and currently pursuing a career in classical dancing.
Motto: To have a firm footing in the fashion and film industry and carry on the legacy of a woman of substance. Want to bring the international crown back to India and get India once again on the international map.

Tahira Kocchar
Tahira is 20 years old and from Delhi. She is, like several of her fellow contestants, a model and enjoys leisure activities like photography, basketball, swimming and dancing.
Motto: I believe in striving for excellence with integrity and honesty.

Unnatii Davara
And finally, we have ravishing Unnatii, 23, a model from Raipur. When she's not working, she indulges in pastimes like horse-riding, lawn tennis and reading.
Motto: My maxim in life has always been to be the visage of the world. I want to set a yardstick looking up to which the entire country can be proud, and the world can look up to them as their mentors.
