With the heat rising well above normal levels, sales of Indian khadi clothes have picked up in the Gujarati city of Ahmadabad. Handloom wholesalers and retailers are producing khadi goods in far greater supply than last year owing to the high demand.
What is more, khadi fabric was once dyed solely in earthy colours but now designers are experimenting by dyeing it in striking hues like lime green, violet, baby pink and turquoise blue. Watch wholesalers and boutique owners weigh in on the growing trend in this video.
