Mumbai witnessed a fashion show featuring creations by the toast of the fashion world on April 27 -- Lanvin, Stella McCartney and Moschino.
Socialites and entrepreneurial sisters Charu Sachdev and Priya Sachdev Chatwal were behind the event, organised by their company TSG International Marketing Pvt Ltd, which introduces, manages and operates high end luxury brands in India.
Titled 'Kitsch Kouture', the stunning ensembles modelled by desi beauties were, however, anything but kitschy -- here's a look at some of the sizzling eveningwear on display!
To start off with, we have the glam garments of Moschino -- seen here is a little black dress, glammed up by a bling-thing neckpiece featuring a peace symbol motif.
A chic cocktail with sweetheart neckline shows off plenty of leg, and dazzling jewellery from the Aurogem line by Aziz Zaveri.
Well-fitting and exquisitely tailored, a short jacket and skirt are adorned with white beadwork. The overall look is carried off by chandelier earrings and a bright blue cocktail ring.
Moschino scores a hit with another classic LBD, this one with delicate ruffs at the neck and sheer sleeves.
Exaggerated sleeves are a surefire trend for 2010, as is apparent from this tiered silk babydoll.
The superb stylings of Stella McCartney are up next, kicking off with Alesia Raut in a glimmering red carpet sheath.
The designer aces it again with this gown slit all the way up to the thigh -- and don't miss all that icing on the model's neck!
Things take a lighter, more flirty turn with this summery perma-pleated dress.
Soft yet striking, this beautiful little outfit is sure to have heads turning.
And finally, we come to the offerings of Lanvin with this beautiful emerald one-sided formal, topped off with dripping diamonds.
We see Alesia striking a pose again, this time in a red hot mini.
A third number by the fashion house is more toned down but pretty as they come, showing off a single ruff at the neck and shoulder.
Charu and Priya live up to their fashionista reputation as they face the flashbulbs at the close of their successful showing.
