Unusual summer pics: A wall of water!

We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here is the first set of responses!

First up is this pic from Ankur Agarwal, clicked in Goa. "I was sitting on a rock and all around the sea waves were very high.You can see sea water all over me here," he says.

Ajay Pipaliya sent in this photograph of youngsters enjoying a twilight dip at summer camp in Ganpatipule.

Paintball army

Is it the defence forces? No, it's a paintball army! Abhinav Sethi sent in this pic of himself with his buddies getting geared for a game of paintball on what he says was "the hottest day of the year".

Everyone needs a drink

And finally, here is Soumen Mukherjee's contribution. "These two elephants were drinking water in a most civilised manner from a water pump just outside Betla National Forest, now in Jharkhand," he explains.
