Images: Gems, jewels and a diamond-studded shoe

Here's what was on offer on Day 3 of the India International Jewellery Week, underway in Mumbai from August 15-19.

Day 3 at the IIJW had as much if not more sparkle as the models strutted their stuff dripping in diamonds, golds, rubies and emeralds. From the modern to the traditional, designers went all out to create and present exquisite pieces that were delicate, elegant and glamorous.

Kicking things off was Rosily Paul Vadakkel with her collection of stunning necklaces. First up is this gorgeous one-shoulder overlapping draped star prong neckpiece.

Next up this the exquisite neckpiece with its wispy strands of firm diamonds. 

The line was complemented by outfits designed by students of the Istituti Callegari and had an array of coloured pearls, multi strands and notched inverted triangle gold necklaces.

Seen here is model Pia Trivedi is a simple yet elegant necklace.

Next to show was Rhea Nasta who presented an eclectic line of pendants, necklaces and earrings inspired by the Kamasutra.

The collection had three parts starting from the ancient to the fusion and then contemporary designs. The models were styled by Neeta Lulla, to complement the polkis and rubies on the necklaces, armlets, long chains of uncut diamonds on corded strands, cummerbunds and gold bracelets. The highlight of course was the 'Cinderella shoe' with 1,200 diamonds ste in white gold.

Moving into the fusion and modern sections, there were delicate white gold with fine sparkling diamonds, emeralds and diamonds and long multidesign pedants with ruby strands and coloured pearls.

The finale had Jesse Randhawa and Sandip Soparrkar waltz down the ramp. 'Prince Charming' Sandip clad in a brocade shervani presented the stunning Rs 1 crore Cinderella slipper to 'Cinderella' Jesse.

Yogendra Sethi of Intergem Exports, was next with a the 'Colours' collection under the YS 18 brand.

The line had creations in 18K white and yellow gold gleaming with sparkling white diamonds and exotic coloured and precious gems.

The expert detailing and high craftsmanship was very evident in the jewellery collction presented by Kashi, beautifully set off by the designs of Kanwaljit Singh and the team from Istituti Callegari.

The show opened with a traditional thick collar with dazzling polkis and precious stones.

Clasped bracelets were designed with intricate 3D forms, while square emeralds interspersed with uncut diamonds blended into a triangular shape on the choker.

The final collection in opulent heavy kundan had an eye-catching circular pendant with thick ornate chain and another one had a giant pearl and ruby chain with an oval kundan pendant.

The wrist cuffs with fine mesh design had raised kundan work; while the kadas had an exquisite peacock motif.

Next to show was one of Jaipur's oldest jewellery brands, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas, presented its completely handmade collection 'Adrishya' (the Sanskrit word for invisible).

Ture to its name, the pieces revealed the technique of hiding the gold and allowing only the precious stones to be visible.

Rich bridal sets in generous hues of kundan and enameled work from Rajasthan opened the show. A giant tear drop pendant on a heavily embellished collar, a collection of chokers with pendants or danglers at the centre, towering rings and thick rustic armlets were some of the highlights of the show.

Timond, the watch and jewellery brand by KT Lifestyle, showed next presenting a trendy show.

The show opened with the casual Arma line sporting tiny necklaces, hep cool baubles, circular pendants and cute earrings.

The Raa Solus range comprised delicately crafted designs with diamonds on thin chains and tiny diamond pendants on almost invisible gold strands. Slender strings of diamonds and multi-diamond single circular pendants were a subtle touch.

For the Raa line, the look was more formal with diamonds designed in knots at the centre with ruby ends. Paisley shaped diamond pendants, large raindrops for neckpieces, bracelets, earrings and rings completed the after-eight collection.

Ending the show was the bridal couple with the bride wearing a stunning diamond studded necklace, earrings, bangle and ring.

The next to show was CVM who also presented three collections -- Rasleena, High Street and the Fine Jewellery Range.

The show began started with tiny oval layered or spade shaped diamond earrings, floral chain necklaces, lantern inspired earrings, pearls and diamond bauble necklace and pendant. Seen here is model Nethra Raghuraman in a pretty floral set.

Into the all black ensembles section, the jewellery turned bolder with oversized rubies set in gold, double diamond strand necklaces and traditional gold filigree work.

The show moved onto a more casual line of twisted chains of gold, graduating pearls for slinky string earrings, striking pendant on bright pink satin ribbon, rows of pearls with giant side pendant and inverted triangle diamond necklace.

Thick Chinese collars in finely crafted white gold made a dramatic impact while a large multiwire white gold bangles drew instant attention.
