I want to tell the world how important it is to have a sister; how lucky I am to have a sister so pretty, so caring, so cute, sometimes so motherly. I couldn't imagine life without her. If I am alive today, and strong, working and smart, it's all because of my sis. Life became easy, interesting and colourful, worth cherishing because of my sister.
Her name is Anu, but I call her Shona.
Everytime I failed in life or love, everytime I felt low, she was with me standing strong and tall. She never supported me if I was wrong, instead she showed me the right path, guiding me in the right direction.
Everytime I thought of giving up, she was there with me making sure that I come up in life. It is true that we fought like wild animals when we were kids, but today I miss her a lot. We were separated when we both left home for our education, but not a single day has passed in the last 10 years when we don't talk just before sleeping. We exchange SMSes almost every hour to stay in touch.
I will make sure that I will get closer to her and make up for the time and love that we lost because of fighting.
Shona, I love you the most, more than anyone else. I will prove it with every passing day.

My sister is no more, but I think of her every moment of my life.
I remember when I was overseas and how excited she would be to see me when I would return on vacation. From the window I would watch her come walking fast from college to our home.
It's small things like this that I can never forget.
