Animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has named actress Catherine Zeta-Jones the worst-dressed celeb of 2010.
In a poll that saw Hollwood stars who endorse animal fashion pulled up for lack of compassion, Zeta-Jones emerged the victor. According to a statement posted on PETA's official website, "With her creepy cow-skin pants, ugly fox coat, and icky alligator bag, Catherine Zeta-Jones looks like she's working her way through Noah's Ark with a knife. Maybe she's trying to get into character for an upcoming role as a serial killer -- or a taxidermist." Ouch!
Move to the next slide to see which other famous faces PETA took a swipe at for wearing fur and animal skins!
The petite blonde A-lister bore the brunt of the animal rights organisation for her preference for real fur -- which probably comes from mother Goldie Hawn, who also made it to the list for 2010!
In fact, PETA even took a dig at Hudson's recent split from baseball beau Alex Rodriguez: "Kate, there's no easier way to lose a guy in 10 days than by wearing a hairball. Maybe your furs are why A-Rod ran for home."
Even the Queen of Soul was not spared. PETA had this to say about the veteran singer draping herself in pelts: "Finally: footage proving that Bigfoot really does exist!"
Another crooner that made it to the list was popster Rihanna. And PETA bared its fangs, sparing no barb to get its message across loud and clear.
"You'd think that being a victim of violence would have opened Rihanna's heart to the suffering of others -- like the animals who were beaten, drowned, and electrocuted for her fur coats," says a statement on their website. "Girl, you've got beautiful eyes: Use them to see the pain and suffering your wardrobe causes."
According to PETA, JLo looks like "Jenny from the butcher block" in "corpse clothes".
Wonder whether this die-hard fashionista will cave to the jibes, though!
And finally, The Real Housewives of New York City star Zarin wound down the worst-dressed list of 2010. According to PETA, "This Real Housewife lives in the Big Apple, and her furry fashion sense is rotten to the core."
Wonder if after this tirade, these stars will feature in the animal rights group's poll again next year? We'll just have to wait and watch!
