Indians eighth best looking people in the world!

India has landed the eight spot in a new list of the 20 best-looking nations in the world.

The UK study, conducted by www.OnePoll.com, saw countries like Russia, France, Mexico and Germany take a backseat while India made it to the top ten. A

And it's no wonder, when you think of our good-looking celebrities -- Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor -- they set international standards for sure!

No 1: The United States

The poll concluded that Americans are the most attractive looking people in the world.

A spokeswoman for www.OnePoll.com said: "America has got a lot on offer and boasts some of the sexiest people on the planet."

"The likes of Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt all help America's image as a hot bed of good looking people."

"But with a population of more than 300 million, they do have an unfair advantage."

No 2: Brazil

Second place was grabbed by Brazil and it's hardly surprising -- some of the sexiest supermodels in the world are Brazilian. Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Beatriz Barros -- need we mention any more?

No 3: Spain

Spain came in at third place -- and an example of flawless beauty and talent from the country is Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz. We trust you agree!

No 4: Australia

The Aussies, with stunners like Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and ex-Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins, came in at Number Four.

No 5: Italy

Do you fancy the timeless Sophia Loren and the sizzling Monica Bellucci? If so, you'll agree that Italians deserve fifth position on the best-looking list!

No 6: Sweden

Sexy Swedes helped the nation into sixth spot. Legendary Hollywood beauties like Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo and more recently, the hunky Alexander Skarsgard, are responsible for their reputation.

No 7: England

Despite the fact that the lovely Emma Watson, Kiera Knightley and Cheryl Cole are all British, the UK found itself far lower on the list than the US and Australia.

Said the OnePoll spokeswoman, "England's talent only got them into seventh place and despite Gerard Butler waving the flag for Scotland, they only just beat the Germans (who came in at Number Twenty)."

"But in fairness, when you think of good looking countries, Sweden, Italy, France and Brazil talent all spring to mind before us lazy, pale Brits."

"If you're looking for some fun in the sun, you now know where to head on holiday."

No 9: France

Look who we beat by a narrow margin! Seems that Ash and her Indian counterparts rate higher than hotties like Laetitia Casta and Olga Kurylenko!

No 10: Canada

And finally, rounding off the top 10 are the Canadians. Beauties like Elisha Cuthbert and Shania Twain ensured they just made it!
