We came across this abandoned village on our trek to Chandrashilla in Uttarakhand," says Harinarayanan E V of the photo he sent in.

Alleppy, Kerala
Next, Sandeep Saha sends in this pic taken from a houseboat in Alleppy back in October 2008 when he toured Kerala with family.
"The mode of travel in this part of India is just by boat," he shares. "It is rightly called the Venice of east.
Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu
Arun Prasad sends in this pic, a view from the road from Kodaikanal to Berijam.
"The blue sky and the clouds below our feet and the scenic beauty make us forget the present and carries us to a fantasy land," he says.
Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu
Arun also shares this photograph of the Heritage Shore Temple at Mahabalipuram.
"Just after the rain, the sand and the temple had a unique look that just can't be described in words."
Kerala backwaters
The sunset and the silhouette of the palm tree trunk looked amazing," says Arun of this pic taken in .
"The cool banks along the backwaters are wonderful to visit."
Khopoli, Maharashtra
Next Sangeeta Sharma sends in this pic "clicked while on a weekend getaway to a farm near Khopoli."
"The lake is created by the dam and the villages nearby depend on it for their needs. The picture captures the idyllic scenery and we just fell in love with the place!"
Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
Here Pushpraj Singh sends this pic taken in October last year.
"When I visited Ganga Ghats at dawn, I experienced the real beauty of Varanasi and realised why so many tourists visit every year. The banarasi subah gives a new energy to soul and body," he says.
Sevoke Coronation Bridge, West Bengal
Rajneesh Anand sends in this picture of the Sevoke Coronation Bridge.
"This bridge is located along the road leading to Gangtok from Bagdogra. It is a concrete bridge with a big great arch and looks wonderful form a distance."
McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh
This snap was taken at McLeod Ganj in December 2009," says Gaurav Bobby Panakel.
"The town of McLeod Ganj is nestled just above Dharamsala in Himachal. We were standing at the Dalai Lama Temple (a must-see). The small town in the lap of snow covered mountains is a sight to relish."
Jodhpur, Rajasthan
The panorama of the old city of Jodhpur is the view of old sections of the city and it is clear why the city is called the Blue City," says Sundarraj Kaushik.

"This view of city of Jaisalmer was taken from the Golder Fortress, which dominates the landscape of city," he adds.

Lakkidi, Kerala
I visited Lakkidi in Wayanad in October 2009," says Sreekumar.
"Lakkidi is one of the places in Kerala that recieves the heaviest rainfall. It is surrounded by evergreen forests and rolling hills. More beautiful than the raindrops is the calm atmosphere that casts a spell on visitors."
This snap was taken en route to Pookod lake, a freshwater lake near Lakkidi which is about 60 km from Kozhikode city.
