Here we publish some more photographs we received.

First up is Suvajit Banerjee's photograph taken on his way back from Satopanth Tal, a high altitude lake deep inside the Garhwal Himalayas.

"We did this trek in October 2008. This place is a few kilometres from a grassland called Chamtoli, while walking towards Mana village. Our team members stand on a rock while resting, on the way back.

"In the background various peaks in the east can be seen. The whole trek route to the lake is amazingly beautiful with breathtaking vistas and high Himalayan peaks all along. The lake is a turquoise jewel nestled in between the snow-covered peaks."

Gulmarg, Kashmir

The only thing that remains untouched by the curfews and the ongoing political issues is the pristine beauty of Kashmir," says Utsa Pattnaik.

"This picture was taken in February alst year. It is a picture of Gulmarg, located some 56 km from Srinagar. I've heard that it is lush and green during the summers, but to see it sheathed in this powdery delight during winters is an experience in itself. No camera can do justice to its actual beauty, the only way to capture it is in your heart."
