Luxury brand Chivas Regal organised The Chivas Studio, a 3-day event in Mumbai over the weekend, showcasing the latest in art, photography, sculpture, jewellery, music and fashion. Here's a look at a joint showing by veteran designers Rohit Bal and Manish Malhotra.

First up is Bal's collection, kicking off with this lovely flairing white and gold ensemble, topped off with a regal embroidered jacket.

Fading funk

The designer ups the ante with this lovely fading anarkali in plush shades of yellow, red and violet.

For the men

A luxuriant sherwani hits the ramp, sporting gold florals on a deep maroon background.

Frills and airs

Lisa Haydon looks resplendent in deep red ruffles with bubble-textured motif and champagne hemline.

Shelling out

Bal displays his creativity with this woven shell-like number, hints of red standing out against the straw tone.

Centre of attention

The crowning glory was the bridal showstopper, a traditionally-embroidered opulent red affair.

The second half

Malhotra also stuck to what he does best -- bridals. Here, model Sahil Shroff cops an attitude in this unbuttoned black jacket and silk pants.

Print stint

Make way for prints, with this number showing off an edgy red circular motif and high collar.

Mermaid musing

The designer opted for the royal combination of blue and gold for his showstopping entry, showing off a mermaid silhouette to rich perfection.

Fashion heavyweights

In a gesture of camaraderie that is rare in the Indian fashion industry, Bal and Malhotra took to the runway together, applauding one another's efforts. Well done!
