Want to study at ISB or in the UK? Read this

What: The Indian School of Business (ISB) will be organising the first Admissions Information Session in Mumbai for prospective students of the Class of 2012 on July 4, Sunday.

Details
Two sessions will be held at, 11 am and 3 pm, at ITC Maratha, Sahar, Mumbai. Prospective applicants need to register themselves online to attend the session.

The ISB conducts several Information Sessions across the country, where representatives from the school share information about its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management.

The sessions provide an opportunity for candidates to interact one-on-one with the ISB's senior management and get their queries answered.

The ISB will be represented by V K Senior Director, Career Advancement Services and Admissions & Financial Aid, ISB and A M Kannan, Director, Admissions, ISB.

Also present at the information session will be ISB alumni from organisations such as Aditya Birla Group, ITC Ltd, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance and J P Morgan Stanley among others.

The school will organise a second information session on September 5, 2010.

Free GRE test prep material

What: Educational Testing Service (ETS) has announced free test preparation material for the GRE revised General Test, which will launch in August 2011.

Students considering taking the GRE revised General Test will get an opportunity to practice answering the new question types and try out some of the new computer-based functionality with the free material available on the GRE website.

British Council's pre-departure briefing for students

What: If you have received an offer of admission from a UK institution or are in the process of applying to one and are preparing to leave for the UK soon, attend the annual pre-departure briefings organised by the British Council.

The briefings will cover advice on:

There will also be an interaction with select alumni who will share their experiences of studying in the UK. Prospective stiudents can meet other students going to the UK and perhaps even to their institution.

Students will also receive expert advice as visa officers from the British Deputy High Commission will be present.
