Pics: Lara Dutta sizzles on the ramp

Sheer fabrics are big this year and Rina Dhaka embraced the fluidity of fabrics like chiffon and gorgette for her couture collection on Day 6 at Delhi Couture Week.

Moving from white and soft pastels to darker shades of grey, blue and black, Dhaka employed a number of detailing techniques like zardosi, kantha and lattice work to create delicate yet opulent designs. And with hottie Lara Dutta putting in an appearnace as showstopper, the show was a definite hit! Take a look...

First up is model Diandra Soares looking super sexy in this satin bikini adn fishnet stockings. 

Next up is this ivory ghagra-choli. Dhaka strikes a balance between the delicate lace and heavy silver detailing to create this pretty number. 

This deep blue creation has a beautiful old-world charm with its fine, flowing lines and contrasted floral embroidery that has been restricted to the border and palav. The see-through sleeves on the choli are a nice touch.

A provocative yet elegant creation, this sari will need some effort to pull off. No room for bulging bellies or lovehandles here!

Sheer fabrics are big this year and Nethra Raghraman looked fabulous in this sheer chiffon drape.

Another example of the way Dhaka used delicate detailing to set off otherwise dull pastels is this grey satin sari-dress.

This striking red sari was welcome change...note the rose petal effect on the choli. Tres sexy!

Lara Dutta showstops in this shimmery black ensemble. She looked gorgeous (as usual) and fit as ever as she made her way down the ramp at the end of the show with the designer.
