Delhi's first Couture Week ended on a high note with designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla's returning to the ramp after a four-year hiatus. The duo will celebrate 25 years in the Indian fashion industry next year, and the collection was named 'Almost 24' in recognition of this landmark.

The collection had a little bit of everything with lovely kurtas, shararas and gowns making an appearance. The show was quite a star-studded affair both on the ramp and off it. While Aussie cricketer Brett Lee and Shweta Nanda catwalked in the showstopping creations, in the front row were spotted cricketer Steve Waugh, Suzanne Roshan, Dimple Kapadia and Rinkie Khanna, Nikhil Nanda, Nitasha Nanda, Priya Paul, Shobaa De, Kalyani Chawla, Tanisha Mohan and Shahnaz Hussain. Check it out!

First up is this churidar kurta in classic white. The outfit with its delicate embroidery detailing and deep frill neckline is a nice blend of old and new. Model Indrani Dasgupta looks radiant as always.

Next up is Nethra Raghuraman looking quite striking in this peach gorgette sari. The choli with heavy stonework and flamboyant high collar is sure to turn some heads!

Talking about the inspiration for the collection, the designer duo said: "Our collection was 21st century India in all her myriad glory."
The collection was high on glamour and the rich colours and extravagant use of gemwork and embroidery only served to enhance the beauty of the creations.

The collection comprised three ranges. First was the Abaan, with multicoloured floral thread embroidery, seen here.

The second was Sonaar, an homage to Sonar Kella, the book and film by Satyajit Ray. Dramatic, it featured sequins arranged like liquid metal in hues of gold, copper and bronze.
We had incorporated all the tehzeeb of the past tinged with a tongue in cheek nonchalance. It was classical meets contemporary," said the duo.

The third range in the collection was Shabb, a monotone of Gothic black that formed the backdrop.

A mix of vintage and avant-garde, the collection had a generous helping of bling with Swarovski bling and heavy gold and embroidery threadwork.

Shweta Nanda took the stage as the showstopper -- a heavy gown with 3D floral detailing. Quite exquisite!

Aussie hottie Brett Lee also got quite a cheer going as he strutted his stuff in this creation.
And finally, the designer duo walked out with the stowstoppers to take in the much-deserved applause.
