Varun Bahl presented his collection entitled 'Anastasia Found' on Day 5 of Delhi Couture Week.

A tribute to the enigmatic, flamboyant mystique of imperial Russia, the collection is an indulgence in fantasy entwined with the designer's characteristic craftsmanship. Check it out!

First up was this red velvet gown with fitted corset top and narrow skirt. The ivory and red contrast help tone down the rich velvet effect while the zardosi detailing gives it a touch of Indian style.

A flamboyant collection, Bahl liberally used heavy velvets with layers of lace and rich embellishment to create complex ensembles.

Seen here is model Carol Gracias all covered up in luxurious layers.

A velvet jacket replaces the traditional choli to give this elegant sari a touch of extravagance.
The traditional churidar kurta gets a Russian makeover with the heavy velvet long jacket and asymmetric hemline.
Bahl used embroidery, zardozi, sequin and crystal work liberally through the line to complement and accentuate the elegant cuts of Indian and western wear.

This ensemble in black and grey takes liberally from the Romanov era, with the delicate sleeve and skirt embellishments lending the perfect contrast.

Another fusion of the richness of Indian couture and Russian luxury, this red and ivory creation was simple exquisite.

Gold, silver and emerald come together to create magic in this fitted gown.

The designer took the stage to take in the well-deserved applause, surrounded by his designs.
