We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here is the next set of responses!
First up we have this pic in from Amit Jadhav. "I clicked this butterfly soaking un the sun," he says. "We can see its spring-shaped tongue unwound to sip the dew from the grass."
Share your interesting summer snapshots with us! They could be from anywhere across India or the world, but they have to be original.
Simply e-mail your photographs to getahead@rediff.co.in (subject line: 'Unusual summer pics') -- we'll publish the most interesting ones on rediff.com and in India Abroad. And make sure to include a little-write up of where you clicked the snap.
Remember, the theme is summer, so your photograph has to gel with the season. Hurry and send in your entry today!

This next one was sent in by Shivani Rai and was snapped in Florida. The people you see in the pic are enjoying getting splashed by the rollercoaster ride that passes by there!
Dr Ritul Agarwal sent in this interesting image. "It was taken in Chennai in scorching summer and is slightly under-developed," she says. "It shows the burning sky with a dry tree in the frame."
Vinod Thomas sent in this lovely photograph of a lovely bell-shaped bloom. "It's taken in Kapimala, Kerala," he explains. "The place looks green even in summer, it is really God's own country."
And here is a pic from Ramesh Anand, shot at Chennai Zoo last month. "He looked furious in the midday heat!" says Ramesh.
