Pink dots on the horizon
Dr Pranav S K from Bangalore sent us this image, clicked at Pulicat Lake, 60 kms north of Chennai. "My wife and me drove up on a bike early one Sunday morning," he says. "We hired a boat, which took us into the shallow tidal lake. After about an hour's boat ride, my wife caught the first glimpse of these flamingoes, which were tiny pink dots on the horizon."
Giant beauty
We received this beautiful picture of a dahlia flower in full bloom from Sanjay Srivastava.
Grabbing a much-needed rest
Dr Amit N Mahajan from Mumbai sent in this quirky photograph, of a crab resting in his shadow on the beach. "This was taken when I visited Ganpatipule," he explains. "God knows whether the crab was thankful or will be in a mood to bite me the next time I meet him!"
Summer colours
And finally, we have yet another faint double rainbow, sent in by Surendra Kansara. "It was taken when I went to watch the sunset at Khanderao Temple, situated on a hill at Devlali Camp, Nashik," he says.
