Doing dishes is perhaps the least envious of all the kitchen chores. Abhishek Mande shows you how you can toss up a tasty meal using just one pan/kadai. Today, we made karela subzi.
Ingredients:
- 200 gms chopped karela (bitter gourd)
- 1 tsp red chillie powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 pinch of mustard seeds
- A pinch of asafoetida
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp oil
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
- Add asafoetida, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
- Fry karela, stir well and cover with lid.
- Let the karela cook partially and uncover the pan so the vegetable becomes crisp
