What: Announcing the British Council's Young Creative Entrepreneur award that recognises entrepreneurs from creative sectors and helps them begin a dialogue with their UK counterparts.
Details
- Sectors include Fashion, Design, Communications, Publishing, Performing Arts, Screen and Interactive.
- The awards are open to any entrepreneur running their enterprise in these sectors for the past 2-3 years and between 25 to 35 years of age.
- The winners for different sectors will be announced in a ceremony in early September and the winners will be sent to UK for a study tour of their respective industries and a chance to attend a relevant trade event.

All-India free scholarship test for GATE-2011
What: Gateforum is organising an All-India free scholarship test for aspirants of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) in over 40 cities in India. The test will be held on July 4 and 11, 2010.
Details
- The free scholarship test for GATE-2011 will be conducted in the engineering disciplines of Computer Science & Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Bio-Technology.
- By taking the test, aspirants will be able to evaluate their performance by comparing themselves with students from all over India (40 cities).
- The results of the test in terms of All India Rank and Percentile Score will be available on the website www.gateforum.com. The students will also be able to evaluate their performance in each topic of the test through the section-wise comparative analysis, which is provided along with the test results.
- The top three rankers in each city for every stream would be given 50 per cent, 30 per cent and 20 per cent scholarships respectively for any of the Gateforum packages Intensive Classroom Program(ICP), eTutor (online classes), Correspondence Course, All India Test Series and Online Test Series. More than 600 scholarships are available across India based on the scholarship test.
