Lakme Fashion Week: Celestial stylings on the ramp

Fashion house Vizyon showcased a collection inspired by the stars and natural beauty of the universe on Day One of Lakme Fashion Week. Head designer Ninon Palisse, who has worked with prestigious French fashion houses  Emmanuel Ungaro and Chloe, is credited with creating the line, which sported draping, 3D structural folds and origami layers. Take a look.

First up we have a draped top with embellished shoulder pads, worn with a multi-layered skirt in white leather.

Lavender look

Next up is another multi-layered number, this time in lavender, with drapings in doppio silk georgette.

Deep purple

Sanea Sheikh struts her stuff in a draped one-shoulder, the deep purple tone and panelling creating a distinct look.

Sophisticated style

Model Lisa Haydon strikes a pose in a sophisticated turquoise satin dress with external zipper.

Red carpet special

Continuing with the same colour scheme, a softly undulating gown floats out onto the runway.

Bustier beauty

Seen here in a taffeta and silk bustier gown is Diandra Soares.

Sunset inspiration

This cocktail number is inspired by the many hues of a brilliant sunset, with crystal embroidery at the shoulder.
