Unveiling their monsoon collection on the second day of Lakme Fashion Week were designer duo Didier Lecoanet and Hemant Sagar of the brand Lecoanet Hemant.
Called simply 'Green', the creations are meant to foster a sense of eco-mindedness in consumers and use organic fabrics to create luxurious fashion. The designers have also launched a line of Ayurvedic clothing (organic cotton permeated with herbs and oil that boost the immune system) called LH Cares, but 'Green' dominated the showing for today. Take a look.
First up, we have a snazzy red jacket and matching crushed pants for the guys.
Working on the waistcoat
Marianna Dias poses in a sparkling ochre waistcoat top and brown wide-legs -- don't miss the eco statement by way of leafy head gear!
Hooded hunk
This straight-cut hoodie is a must-have -- it is set off by military green crops and a man-purse.
Flirty floor-sweeper
While the gown pictured here is the epitome of red carpet class, don't miss what the thigh-high slit reveals -- green leaves wrapped around the model's leg, seemingly in cellophane.
Making a statement
We're not quite sure what the designers wanted to say with this leaf man, who came onto the ramp draped in vines with giant strides, but he was certainly entertaining to watch!
Cutwork class
Marianna Dias shows off her hot bod in a pristine cutwork blouse, worn over shorts with a tasselled belt.
Nip and tuck
This number is nipped and tucked to create an unusual silhouette, while a gleaming bodice peeks out from underneath.
Panelled pret
Panelling defines this little cocktail, with its cap sleeves and form-fitting tailoring.
Silvery jazz
Your attention may be drawn to the silver lame leggings, but don't miss the pretty cutwork bolero accompanying them.
Solo appearance
Hemant shows up minus partner Lecoanet on the runway to bring 'Green' to a close.
