Haircare giant TIGI's creative director Anthony Mascolo teamed up with London-based fashion designer Christopher Kane to present the hairstyle trends-meet-high-fashion TIGI Catwalk show on the final day of Lakme Fashion Week. Check it out.

Sticking to simple but not quite conventional uniformity, the first half of the collection saw all the models sporting punky, uncombed updos, which was a little bit of a disappointment, considering everyone had great expectations of Mascolo's styling talents. But the garments made up for things -- kicking off the show was this glam little creamy cocktail, with
black piping and a sheer overlay.
Velour in vogue
Next came this knee-length velour-blocked number, combining off-white, a hint of brown and panels of grey.
Striking stripes
Vibrant stripes jazz up this straight-fit skirt, while the casual sweater brings out all its colours perfectly.
Pleating out
This olive green dress showed off swirling permanent pleats cascading from below a fitted black bodice.
Ruffles galore
Indrani Dasgupta strikes a pose in a rather severe geometric cut-away, softened considerably by ruffles down the front.
Marking the first half
Mascolo stepped out onto the runway to say a few words about the styling of hair once Kane's first line came to a close.
Second half
The start of collection number two saw a more toned-down hairdo, with all the models' manes tied back in a bun with a few strands framing the forehead to soften the severity of the look.
Kane's garments were now more focused on gingham, beadwork and pastel shades -- seen here is a tablecloth-checkered dress with thigh-high slits running up the front.
Spicing things up
A sweet, summery babydoll is given a sensual touch with the see-through effect on the cupped bodice.
Think pink
The designer continues with the gingham theme, using a pink sweater to offset a tulle beaded skirt.
Flowering hues
Sheer aqua, yellow and pink harmonise well with the floral embroidery remaining uniform across all panels of this ensemble.
Beige beauty
We see the same beaded threadwork as before, but this time against a beige background with becoming puffed sleeves.
Final line-up
Kane makes an appearance at the close of the TIGI Catwalk show's second half.
