Reader pics: Snapshots of India's beauty

We invited readers to send in their favourite travel pic -- that one photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place they visited. And we have been inundated with stunning pics of every corner of this beautiful country.

Here's a look at some of the photographs readers sent in:

Vinod Kumar sends in two photographs. The first is of Valparai taken in November last year.

"Bend after bend you will see nothing but green," he says. "Alpine forests with mist surrounding you along with aroma of tea. At the top of Valparai lies a Balaji temple where even an atheist will start praying because of the divine feeling one gets there!"

"Tattapani is famous for its hot springs," he shares. "During the winter, visitors throng this place everyday to have a bath which is believed to cure skin and rheumatic ailments."

Mana, Uttaranchal

Next Rahul J Parekh sends this photo of Mana Village, the last village along the the Indo-China border and the last tea shop on the border.

"This pic was taken in Mana Village, near Badrinath way back in May 2005. Though not much of a tea lover, even I couldn't resist having a sip in the 'Bharat ki aakhri chai ki dukaan'," he says. "The freezing climate along with the hot tea makes for a super combination! This tea shop is located just outside the Vyas Gupha (cave) where it is believed that the sage Valmiki recited the epic Mahabaharata to Lord Ganesha."
