Long work hours, sitting for extended periods at a desk and excessive responsibility are all a part and parcel of most careers today. As a result, youngsters are facing health issues such as chronic backpain, deep-vein thrombosis, weight gain and mental stress.
To help you combat these four common complaints, we got senior yoga instructor Kamlesh Barwal of the Art of Living Foundation to demonstrate a series of yoga poses and practices.
First up, we have three poses for backpain -- the Cat Stretch (Marjarasana), the Locust Stretch (Shalabhasana) and the Cobra Posture (Bhujangasana).

Kamlesh Barwal has been practicing yoga for 11 years; she is on the senior yoga faculty of the Art of Living Foundation and is a teachers' trainer.
Next, Kamlesh shows you how to prevent deep-vein thrombosis by practicing a calf and hamstring stretch, a spinal twist and hand and foot clenches.
Many of us suffer from weight issues. The breathing technique of Kapalbhati and Sun Salutations (Suryanamaskar) help you fight the flab -- watch the video to see how they're done.
Kamlesh emphasises that in order to maintain physical health, a stress-free, peaceful frame of mind is crucial. And so here she demonstrates Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana Pranayam) and Bee Sound Breathing (Bhramari Pranayam).
