Horseplay
Shradha Tiwari from Indore e-mailed us this snapshot. "This pic was taken recently on our trip to Mahabaleshwar," she explains. "Our son Ashay loves animals and he was delighted to see the horse taking a bath -- we captured that moment."
Purple sunset
This vibrant image of a purple sunset at Aksa Beach in Mumbai is from Deepti Gaharwar. "A vast expanse of sparkling sea and uninterrupted vistas of bright open skies, solitude, privacy and a whole world unto you to discover and enjoy," she muses. "This may be the ideal beach holiday image that most of us have. But here is a landscape so similar, with a vibe so different."
Taking the plunge
Abrar Ahmed Papa from Chennai sent in this picture. "It was taken at Hogenakkal Waterfalls near Salem, Tamil Nadu, where we had gone on a family trip," he says.
Snatching a snooze
And finally, we have this image from Prasun Sanyal in Delhi. "I took this photograph when I was walking in Lake Park one afternoon," he says. "I saw this man sleeping under the shade of the tree. The heat was very high, but under the shade of the tree near the lake, the temperature was very pleasant. I also saw a group of swans resting under the shade of another tree, but this looked more natural!"
