Next we have this image from Velayudham Radhakrishnan, shot in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve this summer. "The elephants are headed to the Sand River to quench their thirst," he explains.
Jayaraj Shantharam sent in this image of a toll gate at Dindigul. "It was taken when we were driving to Kodaikanal," he says. "The toll booth and the road represent our modern infrastructure." And they make for a fine contrast with the mountains in the background, don't they?
This photograph was shot by Dr Prakash Lalpotu of Basmathnagar. "The Palash flower is also commonly known as the Flame of the Forest. These flowers bloom in summer and cool the eyes."
And finally, we have this picturesque sunset, sent in by Kiran Pradip Chauhan on the way to Pune from Lonavala.
