What's hot for the beach this sizzling summer? It's time to break out the swimwear and if you want to look 'with it', take a hint from what's being worn on runways across the world!
Bling bikinis
Metallics are hot this year -- sparkles, spangles, sequins and shades of bronze, silver and gold are all surefire hits. You can't get too shiny when it comes to electric bikinis, metal mania one-pieces and everything in-between.

You could opt for a swimsuit in any size, shape and colour, but keep this style tip in mind -- graphic prints are hot this season. You'll really look 'with it' in one of these little babies!
Chic in checks
Plaid and checkered jackets, skirts and mufflers were all 'in' this past winter -- so why not continue with the fashion? Opt for them at the pool or by the sea.
Beautiful bandeaus
Leave the triangle bikini behind, in the recesses of your wardrobe -- 2010's favourite two-piece is more modest, so say hello to the bandeau. But do remember to opt for one that offers adequate support!
Ruffle a few feathers
They're sweet and feminine -- any swimsuit with a touch of ruffles is sure to grab everyone's attention. Don't overdo them, though, or you'll look like you belong in kindergarten -- just a subtle hint is enough.
Mix and match
If your top is pink, go for a purple bikini bottom. Yup, it's great to mix and match, so if you own a couple of two-pieces, you can actually get four different looks out of them -- simply team the separates together.
One-shouldered style
Rather than strapless, opt for a single-strapped one-piece this summer. They're both classy and cutting-edge at the same time.

These were all the rage last year and they continue to dominate top swimwear catalogues. After all, cut-away swimsuits, or monokinis, as they're also known, are every bit as sexy as bikinis. And while they seem skimpier, with the gigantic cut-aways revealing skin, they actually cover up a little more!

Ahoy there! Get your groove on as a sailor girl in blue and white stripes, anchor prints and every other nautical theme imaginable.
Beach cover-ups
And finally, a word about beach cover-ups. Maxis are it -- no more tee-shirt dresses or see-through shifts, please! Cover up your swimwear in style with an ankle-skimming dress that shows off a summer motif.
