Sushmita Sen: A bride yet again for Vikram

Here's a look at designer Vikram Phadnis' showing from Day Three of the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour, which hit Mumbai over the weekend from September 3 to 5.

King of bridal couture Vikram Phadnis showcased a stunning array of ethnicwear to mark the third and final day of the Blenders Pride Fashion tour in the city (click here for coverage of Day One, Day Two and celebrity attendees).

The country's leading catwalk queens strutted their stuff for Phadnis and in true star style, Sushmita Sen dominated the ramp in his showstopper. Take a look.

Things got off to a start with this trio of beauties in ravishing black and gold.

Gold embroidery and a border in red set off this ensemble, with hints of shine setting off the dark background.

Soft and luxurious, a crimson velour lehenga was set off by a bright gold, intricately worked jacket.

Bright as a songbird, this ghagra choli with its whirling colours had us mesmerised.

Model Carol Gracias gives her trademark pout in yet another gorgeous ethnic outfit -- like how the dupatta is draped? Most innovative.

Diandra Soares is up next, in a lovely pink and orange number luscious as a cherry.

Pretty as a picture in merry stripes dotted with gold is Candice Pinto.

Next it was the turn of the guys, showing what the ideal groom would look like on his big day.

Phadnis balances the colours on this ensemble perfectly -- champagne, maroon, gold and blue come together in perfect harmony.

Continuing with the same theme, the designer offers up another similar outfit, substituting churidaar pants below and a striking green and red men's dupatta.

Moving back to womenswear and a more muted palette, we see Pia Trivedi in a sheer mustard sari with antique border.

Another threesome take to the runway in a spellbinding array of velour, hot pinks and lush green.

A picture of beauty, this number shows considerably less skin and the dupatta is demurely draped over the head for effect.

Got the body for it? If so, this stunning drape, which hugs the figure to bring out its curves, is perfect for you.

There's something very rural and raw about this particular lehenga ensemble, especially the earthy tones, what say?

Sushmita Sen stepped out to thunderous applause, dominating the ramp with her electrifying presence in a bronze and gold strapless corset dress.

Candice Pinto leads a train of models in the designers' best work out to mark the closing of the show.

And finally, Phadnis himself steps out, hand-in-hand with Sushmita to mark the close of a truly spectacular show.
