Designer Krishna Mehta celebrated over a decade of fashion on Day One of the LFW with a collection she wants women to "lust after", in her own words.
Rich dyes, prints and textures were the mainstay as free-flowing ethnicwear in a gamut of colours took to the ramp at Krishna Mehta's showing at Lakme Fashion Week.
Opulence and luxury was highlighted by lehengas, saris, structured jackets and tunics with dashes of sparkle.
Here's how it all went down.
Kicking off with a muted palette of pale yellow, seen here is a georgette anarkali, teamed with an ecru georgette jacket and muslin ghagra, all replete with embroidery.
Next we have another ecru georgette jacket with black and silver embroidery, worn over palazzo pants.
Nicole Faria struts her stuff in a peach lame sequin-lined ruffled top, worn over embroidered shorts.
And continuing with the short trend is this chikkan-worked tunic.
A long muslin kurta for men is teamed with a Nehru vest.
We see a change of hue with this rich purple jacket dress, embellished with a stole.
Entirely hand-worked, here we have a silk printed number consisting of a short shift number and jacket.
Nethra Raghuraman takes a turn in this lime sequinned tunic, worn with a kalidar jacket dress.
Exquisite workmanship comes to the fore with this maroon jacquard silk embroidered sherwani.
Shaded maroon brings out rich zardozi work on this jacket, worn over a matching drape.
The designer strikes the right note with a beautifully tailored jacket, teamed with a free-flowing lehenga.
Nicole steps out once more in another royal-looking sari-jacket combo in bright lime, gold and grey.
This peach sherwani with chikkan embroidery is sure to sit right with the metrosexuals.
