Here's what designer Raj Shroff offered up from his label 'Ravage' on Day Four of the LFW.
Alice is lost."
That's all the concept note from Raj Shroff said in relation to his collection, showcased at Lakme.
However, since we do know that this was the designer's vision of new-age brides, we're assuming he means it's time to put behind us fairytale images (maybe an allusion to Alice in Wonderland?) of what once was the norm and take the plunge into uncharted territories.
Shroff opted for handcrafted fabrics to put the garments together, something few designers venture to do when it comes to bridals. And here's how they translated into reality.
Layering played a significant part in the show, like with this blue, green and purple ensemble, among the first on the ramp.

Allowing the silhouette to flow, we have this yellow-hemmed fuschia skirt with an inner layer of black and white, topped with a velvety green tunic.
Nethra Raghuraman stands tall in a pair of turquoise dividers, with matching floral blouse.
Here we see a yellow handkerchief dress, topped with sheer black vest sporting metallic embroidery.
Another layered, ruffled outfit stands out, topped off with a bright yellow jacket that extends down the back to the knees.
The designer offers up a red-green wispy affair flowing from the shoulders, worn over a flowy knee-length skirt.
Nicole Faria smiles in a see-through skirt, worn underneath a sunset kurta and topped off with a green flaring overlay.
Surelee Joseph steps out in a green ghagra, topped with a heavily embroidered matching kurta.
A long skirt, topped with an asymmetrical layer, a baby-blue printed blouse and a brick jacket come together to create a kitschy mix.
This dress, with its purple coat pattern over green, white and orange, was one of few that sported a slightly more streamline cut.
Grey creates a smokey effect on this long coral skirt, teamed with a rich-looking shawl.
And finally, we have this gold rosette-adorned ghagra, topped off with a green and purple front-button kurta and another floral wrap.
