The accessories showing at Lakme Fashion Week was a treat for the ladies, with shoes, handbags and creative jewellery taking centrestage.
Day Five of the LFW put the work of four accessory designers on display: 'Breathing Space' by Eina Ahluwalia, 'Malaga' by Malini Agarwalla, Rohan Arora and Suhani Pittie. Here are a few choice picks from each of their collections.
First up were two lines by Ahluwalia for 'Breathing Space', titled 'Containment' and 'How I Felt'.

In the former, she used blown glass containers by artist Srila Mukherjee to create neckpieces that are symbolic of "the perfect relationship where one feels accepted, understood and loved, in other words contained within the other person".
Hence the use of jars, vases, bottles and pots, embellished with silver, seen here in yellow and blue.
'How I Felt'
The designer's second line, 'How I Felt', was inspired by the fragility of human emotion. It used silver, semi-precious stones and felt, specially commissioned from Dutch artist Beatrice Waanders who uses natural, undyed fur to create it.
Seen here is a felt muff worn around the hands like in medieval Europe.

'Flamboyart'
Malini Agarwalla's new line 'Flamboyart' for her label 'Malaga' consisted shoes, bags, clutches and jewellery inspired by Indian kitsch -- pictures, fabrics and silhouettes.
Here is a colourful ethnic bag, complimented with beaded necklace and earrings.

'Free Religion'
And finally, we have Suhani Pittie's 'Free Religion' collection -- jewellery that draws from a million inspirations that strike the designer every waking moment, from the fakirs of the Mecca Masjid to the gypsies of Europe.
So who knows what influenced this gold spherical-themed necklace? But it's pretty for sure.
