It may all seem a little funny now and may mean nothing to you beyond a fond memory, but it's fun reminiscing all about your first love!

With Valentine's Day coming up, we invited readers to share stories of their first loves with us. Here is the next set of responses!

Here's a fascinating account of Arvind Kulkarni's love story:

I first saw her when I was working as a faculty in a computer coaching class. It was my first day and I was standing in the balcony of the coaching centre having a cup of hot coffee since it was the rainy season there was a small drizzle that morning and she walked in from the front gate of the academy. I literally felt as if she was walking right inside my heart and into my life. I was dumbstruck by her beauty, her dressing style, her smile, her walking style wow everything was awesome fresh as the drizzle.

Then followed a series of inquiries, finding out her name, her address her likes and dislikes with the help of senior students of the academy.

Even after few months of dreaming also I couldn't muster up the courage to talk with her, as she was not my under me I didn't even have the option of talking with her through technical means.

Once I came to know that it was her birthday the next day. I took many hours to find a gift for her I took it to the academy the next day but didn't have the courage to give it to her, forget about the gift I was finding it even difficult to wish her finally after many rounds around her I suddenly wished her and disappeared in the classes of the academy. I still have a good laugh whenever I remember this incident.

After some days I came to know that she was the daughter of a very old family friend of ours, who had lost touch with our family after they where posted out of the sate.

As few months had passed and our faces where familiar and I had mustered enough courage to decently talk with her, I told her about the connections her father had with our family even before he was married (Ours was a joint family then, with lot of boys in house and he was a very close friend of one of my uncles).

After I shared this information with her she started to feel comfortable in talking to me and started to trust me and in this manner our friendship grew into a strong bond.

There was a lot of pressure from my friends to tell her that I loved her or at least give her a hint that I liked her. I was thinking of a way to tell her this then this incident happened.

It was Valentines Day, I was in high spirits and wanted to spend my day with her even though I didn't have any plans to tell her anything about my love just as a friend I wanted to spend as much time as I can with her.

After she finished her class she left the academy, I too took off for the day and came out after sometime after she went, I was following her and thought to catch up with her by walking fast and ask for a cup of coffee.

I was a few hundred meters behind her when I suddenly saw that two guys approached her from front I stopped to look what was happening after few seconds I saw my girl giving a tight slap one of the boys face.

I was at loss I didn't know what was happening, I ran towards her and inquired if everything was alright she said that guy had proposed to her so she slapped him. I dropped all the plans that I was making and went alone had a cup of coffee and went home and slept.

I was thinking if she could slap the son of a DCP what will she do to a son of a humble farmer like me. I completely gave up the idea of telling her anything and decided that even though I loved her through all my heart I will never let her know about this.

Days went by our friendship grew stronger, she left the academy after completing her course, I left the faculty designation to complete my Engineering studies (I had joined the academy after my Diploma). We were constantly in touch with each other everyday. She joined a course in Interior Designing and as luck favoured I too got admission to an engineering college, which is located in the same campus as her college.

One day I was planning to travel to Tirupati to have darshan of Lord Shri Venkateshwara. I told her that I am going to Tirupati the next day she asked me to pray for her so that the secret wish she turned into reality. I was happy that she has asked me to do so and I was thinking that she too has started to like me and that is her secret wish I came back happily went to her and gave her prasad.

She asked me weather I prayed for her, (No I had forgotten about her prayer in the fun time I had with my friends) not in a position to disappoint her I said yes, and started to pester her to tell her what the secret wish after lot of  coaxing she told me that she loved a boy in her neighbourhood, and she wanted to marry him and that was her secret wish.

All my dream palace came crashing down, with tears building up in my eyes I took her leave on the pretext of some non existent class and I only know how I spent the next two three days.

After coming to sense of the things happening around me I decided that I will not let our friendship ruin and I will at least be her good friend all throughout her life.

Later I came to know from her that she loved this guy from her High School, but she was not sure weather he loved her or not here I had at least some breathing space. That guy she loved out turned out to be the Students Secretary of my college and son of a Local powerful Senior Excise Officer.

I was totally not in a position to have any kind of confrontation with him, Some times later she forced me to tell her whom I loved, under her intense pressure I confided into her that I loved her.

She was a broad minded girl and took this lightly and didn't let this effect our friendship, I was a regular visitor to her house, I came to know all her family, I used to attend all her family functions even her family people trusted me, sometime if it was late they would ask me to pick her up from college or somewhere.

This all was being noticed by the General Secretary all the while, 4-5 times he attacked me with all his friends I suffered many injuries, but I didn't tell anything to her since she loved him and I didn't want to bring any misunderstanding between them, as I am sure if she came to know about this she will have a good fight with him which I didn't want to happen.

Days passed she released that the guy she was loving was not worth her, she was heart broken, she left our native city and settled in Bangalore, unaware of this development I under the impression that they where a happy couple, I too left the city after graduation and got settled in Mumbai. Then this miracle happened.

One of our common friends who was very close to both of us happened to meet her in Bangalore, during conversation she told all her story to him unable to control his happiness he reached my home to inform me about this development.

I had changed my mobile number and had not given it to any of my friends got my address in Mumbai took the next available flight came to me informed me everything that he knew about her, My happiness knew no bounds, but one information that he didn't ask her was that whether she was single, married or in relationship with some one as two years had passed we had separated

Anyway, we both took the next available flight to Bangalore, he only had her phone number and no other information was available as to where she stayed, where she worked etc. He called her and asked her to meet him at a coffee shop in mall near Brigade Road and he had a surprise for her.

She came the following day to meet my friend, I had asked my friend not to tell her that I am here as I was not prepared for another heart break in case she was married or engaged. While in coffee shop they where talking with each other and I was sitting at some distance from their table hiding my face behind a news paper occasionally seeing her beautiful face (I was seeing her after 2 years, and I had destroyed all our photographs in a bid to forget her, which I was not able to do anyway).

Suddenly I saw she had fixed her eyes towards my direction, I started to sweat, she started to walk towards me and literally running the last few steps, I thought to throw the paper and run away from there but I was late she came to me and I want totally thrown back by what she did, she snatched the news paper and even before I could respond she slapped me three times tightly I was seeing stars in the day time.

I asked her I didn't even propose her like the son of the DCP why she slapped me. She replied me that the first slap was because I left her without informing her and changed my number with instruction in my house not to give my number to anyone, the second slap was that I didn't care to tell her till now that I loved her (remember she only asked me whom I love and I didn't once tell her that I loved her) and I was wondering what the third slap was she told that the third slap was for trying to strain my eyes to read the news paper upside down (I was holding the paper upside down). Oh god that was the tightest hug I received from her till date.

Now when I look back the memory lane a sweet smile crosses our face.
